a short journey undertaken in order to deliver or collect something, especially on someone else's behalf.

a special mission or function entrusted to a messenger; commission.

ERRAND is a design-led architecture studio working across Herefordshire and beyond. We have a particular enthusiasm for the development of creative, design focused responses to original, contextual contemporary architecture, together with the re-imagining of existing buildings to ensure every project is a measured reaction reflective of its own time and place.

Our name and ethos reflect upon the importance of engaging directly with our clients in order to deliver unique, considered and highly personal commissions. Through this ongoing conversation it is possible to develop an idea around the specific individual needs of both client and their site; interrogating form, function, spatial requirements, light and shade, rough and smooth.

This logic is employed across our projects of all scales. From masterplanning schemes, entire homes, extensions, down to the insertion of smaller interventions, including the design of bespoke, understated furniture and fit out works, craftsmanship and materiality take precedence.

Tailored, site specific design, embracing the contemporary, respecting the past

Errand Studio was established in 2019.
